Airmen should review and update their virtual Record of Emergency Data information annually, before deploying and each time they experience a major life change, such as marriage or divorce, permanent change of station or birth of a child.

The Record of Emergency Data, or RED, which replaced Department of Defense Form 93, is required to be kept updated by each service member and can be accomplished by visiting the Virtual MPF on the AF Portal at my.af.mil/gcss-af/USAF/ep/home.do

• Log Into Air Force Portal

• Click on vMPF (Virtual Military Personnel Flight)

• Click on vMPF

• Click on Record of Emergency Data (RED)

• Choose Go to Official Record of Emergency Data then click Next Page

• Edit your address under Individual Information 

• Edit your emergency contacts under Emergency Contacts by clicking Edit on the row where their name Is located
