AVD Setup for Windows

Windows 

1. From the Microsoft Store, install the Windows App:

• Windows App

2. Once installed, launch the application.

3. Click Sign in and fill out your Air Force credentials.

• Some users may need to sign in with a different account if their device is already configured to a Microsoft account, to do so, click the profile icon in the top right corner and the option to change accounts should be available. 

4. After signing in, your “SessionDesktop” should populate.

5. Click “Connect” and your session will launch.

AVD Setup - mac OS

1. Open the “app store” application on your Mac.

2. Search for “Windows App”.

3. There should be only one choice called “Windows App”, click get and follow all install prompts.

4. Launch the Microsoft Windows App Remote Desktop client.

5. Choose whether to share data with Microsoft.

6. Allow use of your camera and microphone. These are needed for Teams meetings in AVD.

7. At the top of the client, select Workspaces.

8. Add a workplace with the URL:
   https://rdweb.wvd.azure.us/api/arm/feeddiscovery

9. Enter your Air Force credentials.

10. Double click on “SessionDesktop” to launch AVD.

11. If prompted, re-enter your Air Force credentials.

12. The first time you login to a host, you may be prompted to allow access to the machine. If prompted, click “Yes” to allow this permission.
