Embedded Files
The Dod Safe web page will allow you to drop-off (upload) one or more files (up to 8GB total) for anyone (either a. DOD user or others). The recipient will receive an automated email containing the information you enter below and instructions for downloading the file.
INSTRUCTIONS
To login go to https://safe.apps.mil/
Login with your CAC credentials
Click on Authenticated User (DoD CAC login)
Click on Send a Drop-off to send files
The person you are sending the "Drop-off" to will receive an email with [DOD SAFE] In the subject line
The receiver will need to click on the download link, and they will be forwarded to a download page
Then the receiver will need to copy the Claim Passcode from the email they received and paste It on the download page
The receiver will now be able to download the file
NOTE
DoD Safe Is a great way to transfer files from teams that you may need to access on your personal computer or large files that your email wont allow you to send such as large PowerPoints.
